Green Lake in Spicer, MN was a vacation destination for Sharon's family for over 40 years. In the early 1990's it became the permanent home to Sharon Schuetze and Mdeto Studio... but what does "Mdeto" mean?
Long before Sharon was around, the region was home to several indian tribes, including The Dakota Sioux. The Dakotas saw one of the main differences between this lake and other area lakes was the distinctive green color, so they called it "Mdeto." "Mde" in Dakota means lake and "to" means blue green.
